Easy & Delicious Overnight Oats

I am such a sucker for overnight oats, like seriously the biggest sucker for them. They take less time than cooking oatmeal in the morning and because they sit overnight, the flavours are so damn amazing!! Oats are my absolute favourite breakfast because of the taste and the health benefits. BONUS- you can truly put whatever you want in them! Today I’m going to do two recipes in one for you πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ» I made them at the same time and they legit took 5 minutes to prepare. Who doesn’t love the sound of that?!

So for this recipes, you don’t need any fancy containers, a plain Jane Tupperware container will do! But for visual appeal, I’ve made these overnight oats look pretty for you! Haha

Now this recipe will be larger than one serving because I like to share them with my daughter. They do however last for a few days as well in the fridge. You’ll add in large oat flakes, plain Greek yogurt, superfood powder (optional), chia seeds, nuts, fruits, cinnamon, and then milk. In that order is the best. Make sure the milk covers everything fully so that it softens the oats for delicious eating.

You’ll want to cover the jars or containers after prepping and store in the fridge for 6-8 hours.

Blueberry Lemon & Carrot Cake Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats Base
1 cup large oat flakes (for a single serving use 1/2 cups)
2 tbsp vanilla superfoods powder (I use this one; but can also use protein powder)
2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt (or a vegan yogurt)
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp flax seeds (while or ground work)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (I add probably 1-2 tsp though!)
1 cup milk of choice (I use unsweetened oat or almond) ADD LAST

Blueberry Lemon Variety
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/8 cup fresh blueberries

Carrot Cake Variety
1/8 cup grated carrot
1 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp chopped pecans
1 tbsp raisins

First you will add in the base layer ingredients, excluding the milk. Then choice the variety you feel like. I’m obsessed with both of these and normally make them at the same time for a good 4 days of overnight oats!! Now, add you milk on top.

Tightly seal lid on jars or seal the container. Store in the fridge for 6-8 hours before eating so the oats soften perfectly. You can warm up the oats or eat it cold on the run. It’s delicious both ways.

Can be stored in fridge for up to 4 days.

Enjoy ❀
