Hi, my name is Kristin. I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada, but was originally born in Manitoba. I’m a mid 30’s fitness enthusiast, certified personal trainer, Virtual Fitness & Wellness coach, lover of travel and new experiences, nature, wine and food! Boy.. that was a mouthful! Basically the great outdoors, fitness and adventure are my jam. I have been with the love of my life for over 15 years and we have a beautiful, free spirited daughter who was born in March of 2016. She’s a handful and a half and keeps us on our toes at every opportunity. I love my little family to pieces and you will definitely be seeing loads of them around here…

I have been a fitness junkie for over 17 years, starting in high school and it’s a huge part of my life. Stair sprints, powerlifting and HIIT are a few of my favourites, but my newest passion is rocket yoga which I’ve been doing for over a year. The strength and confidence I have gained from this new practice is phenomenal, including fancy transitions and inversions. To date it has been my biggest challenge, but it’s a blast and I love our YEG community! My 2020 goal is to get arm balances… they are my weakness!

When I’m not working full time, I spend the majority of my days with my daughter taking nature walks, gardening, heading to the park and socializing with friends during play dates. She’s a very active toddler so we try to get outside as often as we possibly can! We both feel refreshed and happier when we get some fresh air. When the weather is cooler, we can be found creating art projects, cooking/ baking or doing meal prep. Check back from some fantastic healthy recipes posts! I’m all about trying new things and modifying recipes… they don’t always turn out perfectly, but it’s fun nonetheless.

My inspiration for this blog is to log a new fitness challenge that I am starting shortly, in real time. It’s 100 days of consistent workouts, as well as a delicious looking nutrition plan. I believe that it will transform all aspects of my life… my mind, my body and my spirit. I hope it will bring out the best in me. Logging this publicly will not only help hold me accountable, but it will also get me further out of my comfort zone which is really what this journey is all about. Watch this transformation unfold including all my thoughts, feelings, physical and mental changes and realize that anything is possible when you make a commitment to yourself and have others help hold you accountable. I’d like to connect with other fitness enthusiasts who share my passions or with people looking for some inspiration, unfiltered relatability and support in their own physical, mental and emotional journeys.
